Privacy Policy

The short version

Your outfit photos are sent to our servers only to generate your critique, and are not stored unless a look is saved — either by you, or automatically when it scores 9 or higher. We never sell your data.

Photos

• Photos you upload are transmitted securely to our backend (Google Firebase) and forwarded to an AI provider (via OpenRouter) solely to generate your critique.
• By default, photos are processed and discarded — they are not retained after the critique is produced.
• If you save a look, the photo is stored in your account (Google Cloud Storage, EU region) until you delete it.
• Automatic saving: when a look scores 9 or higher out of 10, it is saved to your account automatically — including the photo — so exceptional looks aren't lost. You can remove any saved look from your History at any time, which deletes the stored photo.

Face data

• Le Petit Critique does not perform facial recognition and does not create faceprints, facial landmarks, or any other biometric identifier.
• If a photo contains more than one person, the app runs face detection entirely on your device (Google ML Kit) solely so you can tap which person the critique should be about. This produces only temporary face-location rectangles — no landmarks, contours, classifications, or identity information.
• These face-location rectangles never leave your device: they are held in memory only, are never stored, never sent to our servers, and never shared with anyone. They are discarded as soon as the photo is framed.
• Photos you submit may incidentally include your face. They are handled exactly as described under "Photos" above: transmitted only to generate your critique, not analyzed for identity, and not retained unless the look is saved.

Account data

The app creates an anonymous account to track your daily critique allowance and subscription status. If you later sign in — with email, Apple, or Google — your email address is used only for authentication and account recovery. Sign In with Apple's "Hide My Email" is fully supported.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store / Google Play and managed through RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used (screens viewed, features used). Analytics events do not include your photos or critique content.

Third-party processors

• Google Firebase (authentication, database, functions) — EU region
• OpenRouter (AI request gateway — routes each critique, under a strict no-retention / no-training policy, to Microsoft Azure OpenAI or Google as the serving provider)
• RevenueCat (subscription management)
• Google Analytics for Firebase (product analytics)

Data retention & deletion

• You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account). This permanently removes your authentication record, critique history, saved looks and their photos, and usage counters.
• Individual saved looks can be deleted from History; the stored photo is deleted with them.
• Analytics data is pseudonymous (keyed to your account id, never your photos or critique text) and is deleted on request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA), you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data (e.g. your account email).
• Erasure — delete your data; the in-app account deletion does this immediately, or email us and we will complete it within 30 days.
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection / restriction — object to or restrict certain processing, including analytics.
• Complaint — lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@lepetitcritique.app. We never sell your personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete the account.
